How Secure Is LitX?
LitX employs advanced security rules and complies with other regulations governing Protected Health Information ("PHI") that require data to be secure while both at rest and "in transit," meaning actively moving between a sender and a destination.
While email is a quick and easy way to communicate electronically, it is not necessarily secure.
In fact, most current channels don't provide secure communication. Unreliable and insecure methods of exchanging documents also increase the risk of inadvertent disclosure, such as sending the material to the wrong email address, fax number, or physical address.
LitX is pursuing HIPAA compliance and has designed the platform to follow that standard.
